I can't vouch for the rest of the country but here in Edinburgh (and more specifically here on our premises) the water from the tap is pretty acceptable. This being the case - and refusing to lug very heavy bottles around - we offer a selection of POU (Point of use) water coolers.
From a customer perspective the advantages are
No Monthly Contracts
No heavy bottles to change
No bottles to store
Never run out
In the long term it's cheaper!
Now using microbore plumbing it is possible to discreetly locate these coolers virtually anywhere in an office.
If your water quality is suspect them there are any number of easy to change, inexpensive inline water filters capable of removing scale, lead, odours and sediment.
